Isle of Man Steam Packet Company International Football Festival 18th – 24th July 2004
The fixtures have now been announced as follows:
Sun. 18th July Wrexham v. Port Vale 2.00 pm
Sun. 18th July Rushden & Diamonds v. IoM 7.15 pm
Mon 19th July Port Vale v. Bristol Rovers 7.15 pm
Tues 20th July Carlisle Utd. v. Rushden & Diamonds 2.00 pm
Tues 20th July Bristol Rovers v. Wrexham 7.15 pm
Wed. 21st July IoM. v. Carlisle Utd. 7.15 pm
Fri. 23rd July Play Off 2.00 pm
Fri. 23rd July Play Off 7.15 pm
Sat. 24th July FINAL 2.00 pm
Group A comprises Rushden & Diamonds, Isle of Man and Carlisle United.
Group B is made up of Wrexham, Port Vale and Bristol Rovers.
The two group winners will contest the final on Saturday 24th July. Corresponding games for 3rd/4th and 5th/6th places ensures that each team will play 3 games in the 6 days
It is intended to run a coach from Nene Park to the Isle of Man ferry terminal at Liverpool at 0500 hrs on Saturday 17 July. Ferry is scheduled to arrive at Douglas at 1300 hrs.
Return journey will be on Saturday 24 July at 2000 hrs from Douglas – scheduled to arrive back in Nene Park by 0500 hrs on Sunday 25 July.
Cost of the coach fare based on 40 persons travelling is £30.00.
Cost of the ferry based on 40 persons travelling is £42.00 (a reduction of £14.00 each on the standard price.
Most of the hotels in the Isle of Man will also arrange to book your ferry for you as part of the package, alternatively you can book the ferry direct.

You can buy a travel card from the Tourist Information Centre which is based in the Ferry Terminal for £35. This entitles you to travel anywhere on the island on buses, trains, electric trams, steam trains and horse drawn trams.
The Laxey Wheel, Snaefell Mountain Railway and the National Manx Museum at Douglas are three ‘musts’ to do.
Other activities include Karting, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Sea Fishing, Diving, Museums, Indoor bowls, 8 lane competition swimming pool and leisure pools etc etc.
£10 DEPOSIT PER PERSON WILL SECURE YOUR BOOKING ON THE COACH.
